[3 days, 6 hours, 24 minutes until the wedding.]

[Morning. An alarm goes off. Isabel turns it off and stretches.]

Isabel: I gotta go.

[Isabel is waiting in front of the CrashDown for it to open. Maria turns the sign to "Open" and unlocks the door and opens it.]

Maria: Good morning.

Isabel: Don't you guys open at 6:30? It's 6:42.

[She walks past Maria.]

Isabel: I'm going to need a poppy seed bagel, cream cheese, tabasco, and a lot of coffee.

[She sits down in a booth.]

Isabel: Oh my God, where's that phone number?

[She starts dialing.]

[Maria and Liz gets her order.]

Isabel: Yeah, Hi. Is this Zippy Print in Dallas? My name Isabel Evans, I ordered 150 wedding placecards last week. Right. But they were suppose to be overnighted to me yesterday. So where are they? Look buddy, your label problems are not my label problems. What's your name? Alright I'd like to speak to your manager. [She takes a sip of coffee]

[Night Time. The CrashDown sign light is turned off. Maria walks a customer out.]

Maria: Goodnight. [She locks the door and turns the sign to "Closed"]

[Maria takes Isabel's plate. Isabel is still on the phone.]

Isabel: Well, I ordered the flower arrangements 3 days ago. I still need them here by Friday. No I don't want a refund, I want them here on time or else. Trust me, you don't want to know what that means. Flowers. Friday. Or else. [she hangs up.]

Liz: More pie?

Isabel: No! Liz, thank you, I'm sorry for being such a bitch today.

Liz: No, just don't even worry about it. I don't even know what I would be like 3 days before my wedding.

Maria: How about me? Imagine the stressed involve with getting married to Michael

[Liz and Maria laugh. Maria sighs loud.]

Liz: I mean are you? Are you nervous at all? Not about the wedding but about you know, getting married, it's for the rest of your life.

Isabel: Honestly, no.

Maria: You're that sure?

Isabel: [she nods.] I guess I am.

Maria: I really respect that.

Isabel: [smiles] Thanks.

Maria: I mean here I am totally in love with this amazing guy, but to marry him? Please.

[Isabel starts to fall asleep.]

Liz: Oh my God, I know. Could you imagine, what if I married Max...

[Isabel's Dream:]

[A man walks up to Isabel. They start making out.]

[Isabel wakes up and sits straight up in the booth. Maria and Liz look over at her.]

Liz: You okay?

Isabel: Yeah. Fine--I'm fine.

[Opening credits.]

[2 days, 3 hours, 54 minutes until the wedding.]

[Mechanics. Kyle is at work. He's looking at a tour bus.]

Man: Well? Come on, I need an answer.

Kyle: I'm still looking.

Man: I'm not talking to you. (he's on one of those phones where it's an ear and mouth peice set, so he doesn't have to hold anything.) Hello? I'm talking to you Phil.

Kyle: Great.

Man: The same time slot is going to be open for us on Saturday. Yeah, well you find out. [he hangs up.] Okay, so what's the deal? Okay? Hello? I'm talking to you now Gomer what's wrong with the bus?

Kyle: Well, Mr. Carter.

Man: No, no, no. No, Mister, no last name, no first name, just, Carter with a K.

Kyle: Mm-kay, look I don't, uh, I don't know what the problem is yet, so why don't you and the band get a cup of coffee, and come back in an hour or 2.

Karter: Great. We're stuck for two hours in some rat hole called Rosten, New Mexico.

Kyle: Roswell.

Karter: I'm not talking to you. [he walks away.] Let K.A.Z.B. know that we have to rebook the interview.

[Isabel walks up.]

Isabel: Hey, you got a minute?

Kyle: [looks over at Karter and sighs] I got all the time you need.

[Isabel and Kyle inside the shop. We see Karter outside yelling at some person on the phone.]

Isabel: I don't know, it was just the strangest dream. It--It was like it was me, but it wasn't me [Kyle hands her a cup of coffee.] Thanks. Like, I was saying and doing things I had no control over, like it wasn't me but it was me.

Kyle: Yeah, you know, they say that you should write down your dreams as soon as you wake up. [He taps his temple.]

Isabel: I dunno. The whole thing just felt really, uh...dangerous. But I was thrilled by it, by this man, this familar man. It was pretty erotic. I mean, don't tell anyone, but when I woke up in the CrashDown, I was so disappointed, I literally had to take a cold shower.

Kyle: [rubs his forehead.] That's really quite a visual

Isabel: [smacks Kyle upside his head.] Ugh, Shut up.

Kyle: Look, look don't let it get to you, don't. I mean, don't you really think this is a case of the prewedding jitters effecting your dream life?

Isabel: Jitters? Surely you jest.

Kyle: No [laughs] and don't call me

Kyle and Isabel: Shirley [Kyle laughs, Isabel rolls her eyes and smiles]

Kyle: Ha, ha ha.

[Isabel's phone rings]

Isabel: We are spending way too much time together. Hold on. [answers her phone] Hello? What? Are you out of your mind?

Kyle: Well, no jitters there.

Isabel: [Kyle hands her her planner] Thanks Kyle. No, no that's not going to work. [Isabel leaves] No, I am not changing the date. That is not an option.

[Kyle looks out the window at Karter yelling on his phone.]

Kyle: God, I hate cell phones.

[Isabel talking on the phone while walking down the street.]

Isabel: I don't understand. How do you run a business this way? You take an order, you take my payment, and the you-- [She runs into her parents]

Mrs. Evans: Isabel

Isabel: --send me a bill. [to her parents] Hi.

Mr. Evans: How....are you?

Isabel: Fine. [to the person on the phone] Yeah, I'm sorry-- [she starts walking away.]

Mrs. Evans: [blocks Isabel] Honey, wait. I know that you are hurt and you're angry, and--and we understand, but--

Mr. Evans: But you need to understand, the reason why we aren't coming isn't because we don't love you--

Mrs. Evans: Of course not. But we can't support this. It's--

[Isabel storms off.]

Isabel: [on the phone] You listen to me! This is my wedding and no one will screw it up! NO ONE!

[Park. Isabel is sitting at a picnic table reading, Max walks up and Isabel looks up.]

Isabel: So how was Los Angeles?

Max: Not quite what I expected. How's uh...How are you?

Isabel: Under a lot of pressure. 2 days and counting, you know?

Max: Yeah...

Isabel: Just say it Max, you don't want me to marry Jesse. It's okay. Believe me, people aren't exactly jumping in joy when they hear the news.

Max: [Sits on the table] Everyone's just a little concern. It's not that we don't like Jesse--

Isabel: It's that you don't know Jesse. It's how sudden this is. It's that you don't want me to make a mistake I will regret the rest of my life. [sighs and rolls her eyes.] I know, I've heard it all.

Max: [sits beside her.] Don't you think there's a reason that everyone is telling you the same thing? Like maybe we're right.

Isabel: Well, maybe you can trust me. I would like to believe that my family would find a way to be there for me.

Max: You know we will.

Isabel: No, I don't. Mom and dad aren't coming to my wedding. My parents aren't coming to my wedding. I can say it, but I can't quite make myself believe it.

Max: I'm sorry, I didn't know.

Isabel: It doesn't matter, okay. All that matters is that I know that Jesse is the one.

Jesse: HEY!

[Jesse walks over to them.]

Max: What's this?

Isabel: Well this is a setup.

[Max stands.]

Jesse: Hello, Max.

[They shake hands.]

[Jesse goes over to Isabel hugs her and kisses her on the cheek.]

Isabel: Hey.

Jesse: So?

Isabel: Well, I thought I'd let you ask, dear. Tradition.

Jesse: Right. (to Max) I uh, I know we don't know each other to well yet. But since we're going to be family, I thought that--actually, Isabel and I thought that maybe we can start things off on the right foot by asking you if, uh, if you consider being my bestman.

Max: Your...best...man?

Jesse: Yeah. What do you say Max?

Max: [looks at Isabel] Okay. [Isabel smiles] Yeah, yeah, I'd, uh, be honored.

Isabel: Ohhh! [hugs Max and kisses him on his cheek] Great!

[Max laughs nervously and shakes Jesse's hand.]

[Max in Michael's house looking out the window.]

Max: First we need to sample his blood. [he turns around.] make sure he's not an alien.

Michael: Oh yeah, that'll be easy

Max: Then we check into his background, talk to his family his friends, try to find out everything we can about this guy. We can't let Isabel know. She already feels abandoned by most of her family, if she knows that I'm not into this--

Michael: Max, you're not into this.

Max: I know. I know, but now that I stupidly agreed to be best man, I can't let her know that. Not until I have something solid on Jesse.

[Jesse and Isabel walking down the street.]

Jesse: Drew called this afternoon, and he said that there's still a chance we can rent the lodge for the reception, but he can't commit until the Elkes have officially canceled.

Isabel: [sighs] Jesse, are you sure about this? No cold feet or last minute butterflies?

Jesse: Yeah, I'm sure. I don't think I've been more sure about anything in my life.

Isabel: Okay. Good. [she smiles]

Jesse: Are you sure?

Isabel: Oh, I'm sure. Nothing is stopping this wedding. Nothing. Yeah. I gotta go meet the new photographer. Bye. [she starts to walk away.]

Jesse: Hey. Wait a minute. [he grabs her hand] Something's wrong. I can tell.

Isabel: No, it's just last minute wedding stuff, that's all.

Jesse: Well, don't stay up all night worrying about it.

[Isabel in bed trying to get comfortable.]

Isabel: (Voice Over) Don't worry I won't.

[She turns off the light and falls asleep.]

[Isabel's Dream:]

Isabel: Do you approve?

Man: Do you need my approval?

Isabel: No.

[He touches her face.]

Man: Does your husband like this face?

Isabel: He's not my husband.

Man: You won't marry him.

Isabel: You can't stop me.

Man: You'll stop yourself. You, will always be mine.

[Morning. Maria is turning the sign on the CrashDown door to "Open," she unlocks the door and opens it, expecting to see Isabel.]

Maria: Good morning. [She sees that Isabel isn't there waiting to get in. She looks around]

[1 day, 5 hours, 42 minutes until the wedding.]

[Isabel is on her bed, looking over a paper with her dreams written on it.]

Isabel: Oh my god.

[Maria knocks on her window. Isabel opens it.]

Maria: Hi.

Isabel: Hi.

Maria: Is everything okay?

Isabel: Yeah, fine [she sits back on her bed.]

Maira: Liz and I were worried [she climbs in the bedroom.] she--you, uh, didn't show up, so when I got a break, I thought I'd pop on over and see how the weddings going.

Isabel: [gasps] Oh my god, what time is it? What day is this? [she looks at her clock.]

Maria: It's Saturday and 11:30

Isabel: [freaking out] Oh my god, Maria. I'm really late, um, I was suppose to be at the Pavilion an hour ago to, um, meet with the florist, and, and I gotta pick up your bridesmaid dresses right now. Right now. I have to do that. I'm suppose to do that a really long time ago. Actually if I had half more time and I actually have to, um, drop off the check at the lodge or they're going to give my space away to someone else. [She drops all of her stuff on the floor] Oh, oh my god.

Maria: Geez, take it easy, take it easy. Sit down, sit down, don't worry about it. Just--just--don't worry there's no problem, eveything's gonna be just fine. I promise you. I promise you. I'm going to help you, okay?

Isabel: You're going to help me?

Maria: Mm-hmm.

Isabel: Thank you, thank you Maria. Okay, okay. You can start with um...um...you know what you just start with everything. I gotta go.

Maria: What, you're going to go?

Isabel: Yeah. I gotta run. Um, thank you, so much. Thank you so much, Maria. [Isabel leaves. Maria looks at all the stuff on the ground.]

[Liz and Maria at the CrashDown. All of Isabel's wedding brochures and stuff is spread out on the floor.]

Liz: This is so not like Isabel. Something's gotta be wrong.

Maria: Not arguing, but you know the wedding is tomorrow, and just from what I've been able to gather by just glancing at everything, there's like a million of things that should have been done yesterday. So, here's what I'm thinking. We should just jump into this right now with both feet and take control of the situation.

Liz: Or we could sit back and let it all fall apart.

Maria: Exactly.

Liz: So what's the most pressing emergency?

Maria: My dress, your dress, and her dress in that order.

Liz: My dress and your dress.

Maria: Let me just show you what she picked out for us.

[She holds up a picture. Liz is in awe.]

[Jesse and Max getting fitted for their tuxedos.]

Jesse: I don't think I can do this shawl collar, let's try the double breasted.

[The talor leaves to get one. Michael walks up.]

Michael: Hey Jesse. [shakes his hand] Uh, congratulations, all the best. I mean, you are really getting a great girl.

Jesse: Thanks. Um--

Michael: Michael.

Jesse: --don't tell me.

Michael: We met in--

Jesse: Utah. Right.

Michael: Exactly.

Jesse: [shakes his head] Bad with names.

Michael: Oh, no don't sweat that. So 25 hours and counting, you gotta be getting nervous.

Jesse: You know it.

[Talor comes back with the tux]

Michael: Oh that's sharp, right there.

Jesse: Thanks.

[Jesse puts on the other tux, and Michael nods at Max.]

Michael: Uh, so Max tells me that you're a local boy.

Jesse: Yeah, one amazed.

Michael: And then you went to Harvard.

Jesse: Yeah, first I did my undergraduate work at Cornel.

Max: That's in, uh, upstate New York, right? Why so far away?

Jesse: Couple of reasons. Scholarship was one. But, uh, mostly just wanted to get out of New Mexico.

Michael: Yeah, I can relate. Family problems, right?

Jesse: No, no, nothing like that. Um, restless feeling, you know? Just an overwhelming desire to see something outside my window other than desert.

Michael: Yeah, I know that feeling. I'm dying to get out of this place. Tell me about Cornel, what was it like?

Jesse: Oh it's beautiful. It's up on this hill overlooking lake Kyuga. There's a lot of great hiking trails, the woods are gorgeous. Anyway, [they're sitting at the table now.] I had to make the lower view so I knew I wouldn't be clerking for anyone on the Supreme Court

Michael: No of course not.

Max: Wait. Can we go back for a minute? You said you changed apartments between your second and third year of Harvard. Why'd you move?

Jesse: [laughs] What are you guys interogating me or something?

Michael and Max: No, no, no, no. [laughs]

Max: I was just curious, you know. Small town boys, eagard to hear about the outside world.

[Michael takes a coat from the taylor.]

Michael: Wow, that's sharp.

[He acts like he's looking at it while Max and Jesse talk, he puts a pin in the sleeve and hands the coat to Jesse.]

Michael: Here, here, try this coat on.

Jesse: Ouch!

Max: You okay?

Jesse: There's still a pin in there.

Michael: Oh I'm sorry about that.

[Max takes a napkin and holds it to Jesse's wrist. Max sees there's enough blood on the napkin and pockets it when Jesse isn't looking and switches it with another napkin.]

Jesse: (to the taylor) There was a pin still in the jacket.

Michael: Oh Max we, uh, gotta go cuz we gotta do that thing we're gonna do.

Max: Yeah, yeah, sorry.

Michael: Yeah, it was, uh, nice talking to you [shakes Jesse's hand.] You know, good luck.

Jesse: Thanks.

Michael: Alright Max.

[They leave.]

Jesse: Thanks guys.

[Michael's house. Michael is looking at the bloody napkin through a microscope.]

Michael: (on the phone)We got bad news, Maxwell. Jesse Rameriz is...ta-daaaa...a human. Yeah, nice red blood cells. Not a green one in the bunch. [there's a knock at the door.] Uh, I gotta go. [he hangs up and goes to the door.] [the person knocks again.] Alright, alright, I'm coming.

Isabel: Michael, I'm in trouble. We may all be in trouble. There's an alien out there somewhere and he's after me.

[Michael is sitting on the couch, Isabel is pacing about the room.]

[22 hours, 7 minutes until the wedding.]

Michael: You know, it might be just a dream, Isabel. You're under a lot of pressure, a lot of aniexty. What's so strange about dreaming about an alien?

Isabel: This is an alien, who, who knows me, who's intimate with me. I mean, what if it's, oh god.

Michael: Who?

Isabel: Khivar. It's Khivar.

Michael: So what if it is? It's probably still just a dream.

Isabel: [sarcastically] Yeah, okay.

Michael: Think about it for a second. Who is Khivar? He's a man you had an affair with--

Isabel: No, that wasn't me. That was another person.

Michael: That was you on another planet, okay? And how did this illicit affair turn out? It got us all killed.

Isabel: This isn't helping.

Michael: Because you are not listening. Don't you see what's going on? It's just a dream Isabel. Your subconscious mind is screwing with you. I mean, you know, guilt. You fell guilty about what you did back then.

Isabel: I don't even know what I did back the for sure. I mean, all I really know is that I betrayed you, and Max, and my whole family for this--this Khivar. [sighs] Why? What is wrong with me? Who does something like that? What if I betray Jesse the way I betrayed all of you.

Michael: Is--no, sit down.

[She sits down.]

Michael: None of us know what happened in that life. All we know for certain is who we are in this life. And in this life you're Isabel. And Isabel isn't think kind of person who'd betray her husband.

Isabel: What if there not just dreams? What if Khivar is really trying to contact me?

Michael: [shurgs his shoulders] So what? Khivar isn't here. He's up there somewhere on a different planet. If he's trying to contact you, then we'll deal with it.

Isabel: Okay. Yeah, okay.

Michael: Good.

[Isabel notices the microscope sitting on the coffee table.]

Isabel: What is this?

Michael: Ahh, school project.

[Isabel looks through the lense.]

Isabel: Huh. Whose blood is this. Is this Jesse's blood! Are you testing his blood now?!?

Michael: And he passed! Cuz I knew he would pass. I told Max--

Isabel: Max, is in on this?!?

[Maria walks in.]

Maria: Oh, thank god you are her. Oh--Okay--Here's the situation [Michael hides the microscope under the pillow.] Um, there's a slight kink in the plans. Your--Your dress is in Florida.

Isabel: What?? WHAT!! Oh god.

[Michael pats Isabel on the leg. Isabel smacks it away.]

[Evans' house. Max has dress shoes in his hands and he walks to the back door when he's sees the fruit basket. He grabs and orange. Max's parents come in.]

Max: Hi.

Mrs. Evans: What are you doing here Max?

Max: I, I needed [holds up the shoes] for the wedding.

Mr. Evans: So you're going?

Max: Yeah, it's a--it's kinda complicated, but, I'm the....bestman.

Mrs. Evans: Really? I thought you didn't approve.

Max: Well, not entirely, but, you know, family.

Mrs. Evans: So, how is your sister? I mean, she must be getting nervous.

Mr. Evans: Knowing Isabel, I'm sure she's got everything completely wired right down from the number of petals on the roses.

Max: Uh, actually she's been having a tough time.

Mr. Evans: Oh?

Max: Yeah, the, uh, dress maker lost her wedding dress, so...

[Max starts to leave, then stops and turns to his parents.]

Max: So you're still not going to the wedding.

Mrs. Evans: She's making the biggest mistake of her life Max. I can't stand there with a smile on my face and pretend to be happy about it.

Max: You don't and you'll lose her. You and I....We're having problems, and I don't know what to do about that right now. But I hope that eventually, we'll work it out. But you miss your own daughter's wedding and I don't think you'll ever work that out.

[Max leaves. His parents look upset at what he just said.]

[CrashDown. Liz is in the back doing inventory.]

Mr Parker: Liz. What the hell is going on? I just got a call from the bakery about a wedding cake.

Liz: Uh, yeah, I'm catering Isabel's wedding.

Mr. Parker: I'm not laughing.

Liz: I'm not joking.

Mr. Parker: First of all, this is not a charity, this is a business.

Liz: It's being paid for.

Mr. Parker: Second of all, I'm not stupid. I know Max is going to be in this wedding, and if you think you've found so kind of loophole to be around him, well it's not going to work.

Liz: I'm helping out a friend. You see, my parents, they taught me that friends help each other. So, unless you plan on having me put away in handcuffs, I'm going to behave like the person I was raised to be. [She walks past him.] Now, excuse me.

[Maria in the cafe part talking to Jim.]

Jim: Come on you need a band at the reception [he tries to hand her his cd, she pushes it away.]

Maria: Not a country western band

Jim: We, we need the exposure

Maria: You know, you can play at the bachelor party, how's that?

[Jim sighs.]

[Kyle walks in.]

Jim: Hey Kyle, tell her how good we are.

Kyle: I'm not your publicist. [he goes and sits at the table.]

[Maria walks away.]

[Isabel walks in and sits beside Jim.]

Isabel: I need to talk to you. Um, I want you to do something for me at the wedding--during the ceremony actually.

Jim: It's not an usher, is it? I look so bad in those monkey suits. I--I mean, I'm, I'm touched and all

Isabel: No, I want you to give me away.

Jim: You mean...

Isabel: Walk me down the aisle. My um, my parents aren't going, and since I, uh, sort of think of you as a father figure, I thought... What do you say?

Jim: [overwhelmed] Yes. Yes, it would be an honor.

Isabel: Thank you [she kisses him on his cheek and leaves.]

[Karter walks in and sits across the booth from Kyle. Kyle isn't too thrilled.]

[Karter sits down.]

Kyle: Have a seat.

Karter: I get it.

Kyle: I don't know what you're talking about

Karter: I get it. Okay. The whole stuck in Mayberry until I'm nice to Gomer routine. I'm sorry I hurt your poor little feelings. Now, how much will it take [Maria walks up.] to get you to fix the bus so the band can get back on the road and make the airdates I keep booking and cancelling.

Maria: Wait a minute, you manage a band?

Karter: No Alice, I'm the program director of 7, count them, 7 radio stations spread across the southwestern United States.

Maria: What band?

Karter: [sighs] Ivy.

Maria: Ivy. Here.

Karter: Unfortunately...

[She pushes Kyle over and sits down.]

Maria: Let's talk.

[Jesse's bachelor party. No, I will not go into detail :) The Kit Shickers are playing, Jim is the lead singer.]

[Max talking to one of Jesse's friends.]

Max: So what happened after the two of you passes the bar exam?

Friend: We kind of went our separate ways. I didn't see him again, until probably a year ago.

Max: What was he doing then?

Friend: He was in private practice working for a big time corporate law firm.

[Kyle playing 9 ball with some dude.]

Dude: You don't play much 9 ball out here, do you?

Kyle: Not like you Harvard boys.

[He shoots a ball in the side pocket.]

Dude: Oh! It's like some nightmare, isn't it? Just keeps getting worse and worse. [he gets the 9 ball in] And that's the game. That's 20 big ones my friend. [Kyle looks away and throws the money on the table and hands him his stick.]

[Max and Jesse's friend still talking.]

Friend: Listen, I'd like to sit here and answer your questions all night, but I'm married, and this is a bachelor's party and time is a wastin'. [a stripper walks up to him] Whoa. Excuse me. [him and the tramp leave]

[Michael walks up to Max.]

Michael: Max, it's time to let it go.You're not going to find anything on that guy, cuz there's nothing to find.

[Kyle walks up to Michael and grabs his arm.]

Kyle: My alien friend, there's somebody I'd like you to meet.

[They walk away. Max goes find someone else to question.]

Max: Hey, I'm Max Evans [shakes some guys hand], the bestman. So tell me how long have you know Jesse?

[Isabel is sleeping. Her Dream:]

Khivar: You will always be mine.

Isabel: I marry him tomorrow.

Khivar: Means nothing.

Isabel: It means I'm finished with you. Goodbye Khivar. [she walks away from him.]

[Bachelor Party.]

[Max and another one of Jesse's friends are talking.]

Friend 2: Yeah, we talked in court all the time. Well, I mean, except when he was doing that FBI thing.

Max: FBI?

Friend 2: I don't know what he did, you know, he wouldn't talk about it, said it was classified. National security, that kind of stuff.

[Michael and Harvard dude playing 9 ball with Kyle looking on. Michael uses his powers to make the 9 ball go in (and win the game) when breaking.]

Dude: I can't believe you sunk in the 9 ball again. Double or nothing.

Michael: You read my mind.

[Kyle smiles and pats Michael on the back.]

[Jesse walks over to Max and his friend.]

Jesse: (drunk) You interiogating my friends?

Max: Just asking questions.

[Michael just knocked in 3 balls at once.]

Kyle: It's like a nightmare, isn't it?

[Jesse and Max talking.]

Jesse: That's what that was all about in the tuxedo shop too, wasn't it? You and your friend trying to build some kind of dasea on me.

Max: Dasea? That's an interesting word for someone who used to work for the FBI.

Jesse: [laughs] Wha--what are you talking about, I never worked for the FBI.

Max: Louis said you had a mysterious classified job at the FBI.

Jesse: [laughs] Louis is an idiot. I an internship at the DEA for a semester, and yeah, some of it was classified but what the hell business is it of yours anyway? What, you looking for some dirt on me?? Some excuse to get Isabel to call of the wedding??

Max: That's not it.

Jesse: The hell it isn't.

[Harvard dude is arguing with Kyle and Michael. He thinks they're cheating.]

Dude: Come here and say it to my face.

[Michael steps closer to him. Kyle grabs his arm.]

Kyle: Come on guys, come on, come on.

Dude: Nobody makes shots like that. It's a statistical impossibility.

Michael: How would you know?

Dude: I'm a statistician.

[Kyle and Michael laugh]

Michael: Oooo!

Kyle: Whatever, just give him his money back, man.

[Michael gives him his money back.]

[Jesse walks up.]

Jesse: I heard you--what's going on?

Dude: These rednecks jerkoffs are trying to hussle us.

Kyle: What did you just call us?

[Max steps in between them.]

Max: Look everybody, just calm down.

[Dude gets past Max]

Dude: I said you are a redneck jerkoff.

[Fight breaks out. The whole bar is fighting. Jesse pushes Max, Max punches Jesse in the face. his nose is bleeding. The band keeps playing and Jim keeps singing.]

[Isabel yelling at Max.]

[4 hours, 36 minutes until the wedding.]

Isabel: You broke his nose!!

Max: I didn't mean to, it just...happened.

Isabel: Oh. It just happened. you just happened to be swinging your fist and HE JUST HAPPENED TO STEP IN FRONT OF IT!!!!!!!!!!

Max: Look, I am sorry. It was a party. People were drinking too much. I didn't--things got out of control.

Isabel: Oh, like your investigation. Is that one of those things that got a little bit out of control?

Max: I can explain.

Isabel: Don't bother, I understand perfectly. You don't trust me.

Max: It's not about trust.

Isabel: It is all about trust Max. God, do you really think that I would marry someone that I didn't even know? Someone who might be secretly working for the FBI or even [gasps] an alien. Don't you think that I have walked through is dreams a few times? And that maybe I checked on his alien status A LONG TIME AGO! God, Max. The irony here is that I trusted you. I trusted you to stand up at my wedding with my whole family there. I trusted you to be there for me. And you weren't.

[She leaves.]

[22 mintues until the wedding.]

[At the wedding ceremony. Guests are starting to arrive. Kyle is the usher.]

[In a room. Liz and Maria are holding up a hideous dress.]

Isabel: It's fine.

Maria: I know it's not exactly what you wanted, but...

Liz: We searched in every store in Roswell, really.

Isabel: No, it's fine, and thank you, thank you both so much for everything you've already done, and it'll be really...really fine [fake smiles]

Mrs. Evans: [walking in] It's lovely. I mean, really, it is. But I just thought that [she shows them a dress that she was hiding behind her back.] maybe as an option. This was my wedding dress girls, and my mother wore it before I did, and I'd be honored--

[Isabel hugs her mom.]

Mrs. Evans: I mean, I don't know if we can possibly get it altered in time, but--

Isabel: No, I will, uh, find a way.

[Jesse in a room getting ready. He's looking at his black eye in the mirror.]

[There's a knock on the door, it's his mom.]

Ms. Rameriz: Guess whose here. [Max steps in]

Max: Hey.

Ms. Rameriz: Can I leave you two alone, or do I have to referee?

Jesse: Thanks mom.

[She leaves]

Max: I picked up a steak on the way over for [points to his eye]

Jesse: [buttoning his shirt] An old wives tale, Max.

Max: Look, I just--I wanted to say

[Jesse holds up his hand.]

Jesse: Forget about it.

Max: No really I--I was way out of line interiogating your friends. I mean, Isabel is obviously in love with you, and you obviously make her happy. I just don't know why I couldn't accept that.

Jesse: You've probably noticed from all of your, uh, research, my father died when I was 13. What your probably don't know that it was 4 years before my mother ever saw another man. I couldn't take it, not even then. I hated them.

Max: You didn't want anyone replacing your father.

Jesse: Partially, yeah. But even more than that, they weren't good enough for my mother. No one....to tell you the truth, could ever be good enough for my mother. So, I understand. No one is ever going o be good enough for Isabel.

Max: I'll get over it.

Jesse: Maybe. I never did. But we have to put it behind us, alright? Because even if we're not doing to be friends, we are going to be family. So you gonna eat that streak or what?

Max: (unwraps it) Uh, just uh (he puts it on Jesse's nose) hold it there. [Max uses his powers to heal Jesse as he holds the steak. Jesse takes it from him.] It just takes a second. Uh, I dunno, take a look.

Jesse: Yeah.. [he looks in the mirror and his black eye is gone. He can't believe it.]

Max: Well, look at that.

[Ceremony starts. Liz and Maria start walking down the aisle.]

[Isabel and Jim are waiting for their cue to go down the aisle.]

Isabel: This is it, are you ready?

Jim: I don't think so.

[Isabel looks at him and notices him looking at someone. She looks to where he's looking and sees her father in a tuxedo.]

Mr. Evans: May I?

[Jim moves out of Mr. Evans' way, and he takes his daughter's arm. Isabel smiles, he kisses her on her forehead. They start walking down the aisle.]

[Kyle is fliming everything with his camera.]

[Mr. Evans hugs Jesse then goes to his seat.]

Isabel: I, Isabel Amanda, take thee, Jesse Estaban, to be my wedded husband.

Jesse: I, Jesse Estaban, take thee, Isabel Amanda, to be my wedded wife.

Isabel: In sickness and in health

Jesse: In plenty and in want

Isabel: In joy and in sorrow

Jesse: For as long as we both shall live.

Preist: I now proclaim that Jesse, Isabel are husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.

[They kiss. Everyone claps.]

[Wedding reception. They walk in, everyone claps.]

Max: If I can have everyone's attention, please. I'm Max Evans, the bestman. Isabel and I, uh, well, I'm sure you all know the story, how they found us. Little kids wandering around in the desert. No one knew where we came from, or where we belonged. We didn't know anything either, who are parents were, how we got there. All we had was each other. Two people took us in, gave us names, made us part of their family, something I'll always--will always-- be greatful for. Growing up I was always--I always felt very protective over my baby sister. Always tried to look out for her [laughs]. I guess... what I've come to realize is that she doesn't need me anymore to protect her, she's too strong for that. So, uh, [holds up his champagne glass] to Jesse. Welcome to the family. I think you'll find it's going to be an interesting experience. [everyone laughs] And to Isabel, I love you. I trust you. And I wish you all the happiness in the world. [Isabel smiles] To Jesse and Isabel.

Everyone: To Jesse and Isabel.

[Everyone, including Max, takes a sip of their champagne then claps.]

Maria: Alright Karter, you're on.

Karter: Hit it!

[The band, Ivy, starts playing.]

[Jesse and Issabel get up and dance.]

[Liz walks over to her father. Kyle is taping Jesse and Isabel dancing.]

[Mr. Evans taps Jesse on the shoulder and cuts in. Jesse and Mrs. Evans dance.]

Mr. Parker: (to waiter) There's a chafing dish in my truck. Can you get it?

Waiter: Right away.

Liz: Dad.

Mr. Parker: Yes?

Liz: I'm going to dance with Max. Not because of tradition and not because I found some kind of loophole. But, because it is my choice. We love each other and we are going to be together. [She hugs him] And I love you too.

[He smiles and she walks over to Max.]

[We see them from across the room. She says something and he points back to her dad and she shakes her head and says, It's okay. She takes his hand and they walk to the dance floor and dance.]

[Michael cuts in and dances with Isabel.]

[A man comes up from behind Isabel and Michael walks away. The man dances with her.]

Man: Stay calm and, uh, keep smiling Isabel. [It's Khivar.]

Isabel: You're not here. You're not really here.

Khivar: Oh, I am here. I've come from you.

isabel: No, I'm dreaming or sleeping or something.

Khivar: (to Waiter) May I? [he takes a glass of champagne] To your day. And uh, to many more happy days still to come. [he takes a sip.] I'll see you soon. [he leaves]

[Kyle walks up.]

Kyle: Can I, uh, can I dance with the bride?

Isabel: Kyle, did you just see that guy that was here?

Kyle: The guy you were just talking to, you were dancing with?

Isabel: Mm-hmm. You saw him, you really saw him?

Kyle: Sure, yeah. Why? Who was it?

Isabel: Someone who can't be here.

[She walks away from Kyle. She scans the room for Khivar.]
